Message from the President

I am delighted to welcome you to the Pakistan Physical Therapy Association (PPTA). By the grace of Allah Subhaan Wa Taa'la and efforts of Physical Therapists PPTA has become the only Association representing maximum number of Physical Therapists across the country. This year we have got full membership of WCPT. I really appreciate the efforts of members who worked days and nights to gather Physical Therapists on a single unique platform. The first elections held throughout the country for the first time in the history of Pakistan and new elected body is now on board for the term 2011-2015. Previously I provided my services as an audit Secretary and member board of directors and now as a president. PPTA has opened the doors and opportunities for the members. We have developed many areas in our website so that our members could utilize maximum of their energies for the betterment of our profession.

PPTA has been recognized as the advisory body to the council and Pakistan Physical Therapy Council (PPTC) will come true soon. PPTA is determined to train Physical Therapists of international standards. We have launched Pakistan Physical Therapy journal where research articles of international standards will be published. A research corner has been established for the therapist where they can research on the area of their choice. We have designed a formula to regulate all of the Physical Therapy education providing institutes in Pakistan. PPTA is strong-minded to have every member to go for CME courses every year.  

I strongly believe that with sincere efforts together we can face the challenges, now it is the time to come together for the professional development, service structure, uniform curriculum and better care for the general public. I as a president of PPTA cordially invite you to join us because together we can make the difference.
